What StillSafeFood does
StillSafeFood is a free food safety reference tool. It does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use the checker. All food safety lookups happen in your browser.
Not medical advice
StillSafeFood provides food safety reference information based on USDA and FDA guidelines. It does not provide medical advice. If you believe you have food poisoning or a health concern, please contact a healthcare provider.
Analytics
StillSafeFood uses two analytics tools to understand how the site is used:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-preserving analytics tool that collects aggregated page view and performance data. It does not use cookies and does not track individual users across sites. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Product analytics — StillSafeFood may use a product analytics tool to track anonymised usage events (such as which food safety checks are most common). No personally identifiable information is collected. This analytics tool only activates when a configuration key is present in the deployment environment.
Cookies
StillSafeFood does not set any first-party cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless. If product analytics are active, they are configured to avoid persistent cookies and to not build cross-site tracking profiles.

If you contact us via the contact page, your message is sent directly to our email inbox. We use it only to respond to your query and do not share it with third parties.
Third-party links
StillSafeFood links to official government sources such as USDA, FDA, CDC, and FoodSafety.gov. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
